Leah Crull & Karen Weber with Certified Hand Center of Rockford Rockford, IL – May 2011 Leah Crull & Karen Weber, Certified Hand Therapists’ in Occupational Therapy, attended the 2011 Wisconsin Hand Experience conference.  This was the 12th annual ASHT (American Society of Hand Therapists) joint venture conference with the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Leah & Karen sharpened their skills for evaluating and treating peripheral nerve compressions in the elbow, forearm and wrist. The course combined lecture and lab to provide Leah & Karen with the most up to date information on evaluation and treatment tools for today’s patients. Renewed Hand Therapy Certification

Rockford, IL – March 2011

Karen Kelman-Weber, Certified Hand Therapist and Occupational Therapist, renewed her hand therapy certification. Working with a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) is beneficial to patients and physicians. People value the use of their hands; therefore any loss of function through injury or disease can devastate lives. A Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) offers the public assurance that the therapist treating them has achieved the highest recognition of competency in the profession. Karen Kelman-Weber of Certified Hand Center has renewed the distinguished CHT designation after completing all requirements in March 2011. Karen has been credentialed since 1991 and was the first Certified Hand Therapist in the Rockford area after meeting strict eligibility requirements and passing the rigorous Hand Therapy Certification Examination.
